This is a township of Bengal which is surrounded by haor. The west side of which is surrounded by Surma-Kushiarar combined stream Koli-Kushiyara-Bheramohana Half of the year is swamped in most areas. Kali Kushiara river passing by the side of the upazila. Thousands of settlements have been built in the basin. Lakho man's livelihood is dependent on him.
